Visual Image of Shots Day here at Orientation

This is a visually stunning image of the joy found only here on Shots Day at Orientation!

Look closely at her face, and you will see gargantuan tear drops that are very, very real!

Bless her heart! I wanted to cry with her. Our children go through a lot to be a part of our call to go and make disciples. There can be a very real investment though, on a very hard investment of their lives--that someday they long to be faithful to God's call upon their own lives.

Encourage these to find ways to include their children in their mission work, Matt. That is the key to well-adjusted MK's on the field. As a Journeyman, I realized that there were some who were so happy and content to be MK's, while others resented it. I went looking for the answer to my why questions on that. I wanted to know because even then I wanted to know how to someday help my children (whom I didn't know at the time) fit in on the mission field. I discovered after taking a very hard look at MK's that it was those parents who somehow found a way to include their children in their ministries. It works! We found a place for our boys and you see how ministry-oriented they are. They loved being missionaries along-side of their parents. There are simple ways to include them, but they must feel a part of this whole venture. They can role play (Biblical characters) or sing songs, or lead an activity in a Bible study, or a game, or help with sports evangelism--something, no matter how large or small.
